Testimonials
Paul supported one of our most vulnerable pupils. He quickly developed a trusting relationship, set appropriate boundaries and liaised with a ‘hard to reach’ family. The support he provided enabled the pupil to experience success, cooperate within set boundaries and learn to respect authority. I would highly recommend Paul if you are looking for an ‘intervention’ that is outside the norm – which is often what is needed for our hardest to reach pupils!

The work that Paul has done with two of our most vulnerable students has been exceptional. He builds strong relationships with the young people and is always willing to go above and beyond on their behalf. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Paul and his team have been supporting various children from The Acorn Centre Alternative Provision in schools and for those who have been permanently excluded in the community or their home. The team is always professional and builds strong relationships with the children they work with. They take the time to find out about each individual and work specifically on their difficulties - making a real impact to not just the children but their families too. The feedback is always informative and supports our work. I look forward to continuing to work alongside Paul in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to schools for additional social, emotional and mental health support.

Paul Lavery and his team worked in partnership with Stevenage Borough Council and Stevenage Police to pilot Operation Adsun in Stevenage. As part of this operation, Paul and his team undertook an intensive mentoring project to target one of the areas with the highest rates of youth ASB in Stevenage, which included some of the most challenging young people and anti-social behaviour (ASB) perpetrators in Stevenage.
After a few weeks, the team were engaging with around 30-40 local young people a night during the pilot, some even travelling from other areas of Stevenage to attend the sessions. Paul Lavery and his team engaged very well with the young people involved with the project and it was clear that young people respected and looked up to the team. The team successfully engaged with some of the most challenging young people in Stevenage and encouraged young people to take part in positive, diversionary activities.
During the pilot, Stevenage Police reported that the number of ASB calls in the area had significantly decreased as a direct result of the project. Local residents and shopkeepers also reported that they had noticed a considerable decrease of ASB in the area, illustrating the positive impact that the project had on the community.

My son is 16 years of age with complex needs, he stopped going to school at the age of 14 as he could no longer cope with the day to day presure of school life.
Throughout the year's my son has had numerous care agencies walk in and out of his life with no positive impact on his life at all.
Paul Laverys support started working with my son around 8 months ago, the mentor working with my son has helped him regain self belief and is supporting him move forward in a positive and confident mind set. My son always enjoys his sesions and always returns home happy with a sense of achievement. He is now turning his life around, and a brighter future is on the horizon.
Thank you!

Hi Leeroy, Jo, and the team at Paul Lavery Support. Sorry, it's a late message but have been super busy since Friday but want to send this message to say now as a family we are finally at the stage with our son whereas on Friday all support and social services are not needed anymore. Our son is no longer a child in need and as of Friday his case with social services is being closed. I was able to thank everyone in the child in need meeting last Thursday but as you guys no longer attend the meetings I am sending a message to you all to say as a family how thankful we are for all your help, guidance and support in our journey in our son's recovery. You guys played a massive part and for that, we are truly thankful and hopefully once restrictions are lifted we would love to meet up with you guys to say a proper goodbye and for you guys to see how far our son has come as we are so proud of him. We finally after so long have our son back. We still have a journey ahead but we have a light at the end of the tunnel. All the best to you guys and hopefully be able to see you soon. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.

Hi Paul,
I just wanted to pass on our thanks to Adam for supporting our son, over the past couple of months. From the outset it was clear that Adam had a wonderful calmness about him. He engaged and put us at ease straight away – taking the time to talk to us on the phone and answer our questions and then came to meet us all. Our son felt very comfortable with Adam, unrushed and supported. I think this was because of the way that Adam approaches his role as a mentor. He was genuinely interested in him and wanted the best from each outing spent with him. He expanded his horizons by talking about his own interests and listened and got to know him, all in a very gentle and collaborative manner.
Please pass on our thanks to Adam, he truly is an asset to your business and a fantastic mentor. We wish him wish him all the best.

A student at Springboard who really struggled with attendance prior to starting the programme also had the same attendance issues at Springboard. His autism and high anxiety levels got in the way of him achieving academically and being confident with peers. He never considered himself having friends and often spoke about not seeing the point in life. Paul worked with this young person for a number of sessions to encourage him to get motivated and change his negative thoughts. He started by just simply getting out of the house to clear his head. Paul then worked on getting him to and from Springboard so that he could start completing some lessons and interact with the others at Springboard. It was a hard time for this young person and he really had to be pushed out of his comfort zone but Paul did not let him give up. This ended up being very successful and he started to attend his Springboard course to which he has now completed and gained Functional Skills qualifications as well as securing a place at North Hertfordshire College doing Health and Social Care.
